Whitney Whiting

(SHE/HER)

Professional Counselor Associate

I am a professional counseling associate who works with older adolescents, teens, and adults.

I believe the relationship between client and therapist is the most important part of therapy. My first priority is to provide a safe, nonjudgmental, and affirming space where the sometimes difficult work of processing and healing can take place. I take a person-centered and social justice approach to therapeutic work, utilizing various modalities to meet the unique needs of each client. My work often includes psychoeducation, nervous system work, and deconstruction of harmful ideas and systems.

I enjoy seeing clients with various backgrounds, identities, and therapeutic concerns. I often work with clients who have ADHD and/or autism, including those experiencing a late diagnosis, and know first-hand the importance of a neurodivergent-informed therapist. My other areas of focus include work with LGBTQIA+ folks as well as religious trauma and deconstruction.

I earned my masters degree in clinical mental health counseling from Northwestern University in March of 2024 and my bachelors degree in human and family development from Arizona State University in 2010. Additionally, I am always seeking continued learning to better serve my clients and community.
