Devin Duncan
(SHE/HER)
Clinical Social Work Associate
I am a Clinical Social Work Associate with experience in a variety of population settings, including higher education, healthcare, community practice, and nonprofits.
I see individuals from a wide range of diverse backgrounds and stories, with a focus on teens and young adults experiencing college or school stressors, anxiety, depression, interpersonal violence or sexual assault, and executive functioning struggles. I also enjoy working with the LGBTQ+ population, women, neuro-divergent folks, and those recovering from Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) and concussions.
My approach to counseling is focused around being person-centered, navigating the various systems within our lives, and bridging that to a relational cultural lens. I utilize mindfulness, compassion, acceptance and commitment to the self, and solution-focused strategies to assist clients with processing the external stressors and systems that can impact us. I lean into my strengths as a therapist to support individuals in navigating life’s transitions and meeting their goals as they learn more about themselves along the way. I believe working with individuals through the joys and struggles in life is a privilege, and I aim to create a space that is anti-oppressive, trusting, and empathetic to help support growth.
I hold a Master’s degree in Social Work from Colorado State University and a Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from Purdue University. I also have a Bachelor’s degree in Speech, Language, and Hearing Sciences from Purdue University. I am a trained facilitator for Restorative Justice and as A Window Between Worlds Trauma-Informed Art Based facilitation.
